Did you know that Cavalia Odysseo’s 70 magnificent horses are enjoying a relaxing 10-day stay at an equestrian facility near Oakbank, Manitoba?
The horses are putting up their hooves while the humans are working hard on completing the Cavalia Odysseo Village in Winnipeg. The much-anticipated show is scheduled to start on May 12.
The Cavalia herd features 13 different breeds – including the Appaloosa, Arabian, Canadian Horse, Warmblood, Lusitano, Paint Horse, Percheron Hanoverian Cross, Quarter Horse, Selle Français, Thoroughbred, Spanish Purebred (P.R.E.), Miniature Horse and Warlander – all under the care of Cavalia Odysseo’s 20-person stable team.
At their retreat, the horses are surrounded by spacious paddocks, where they can soak in the sun and roll in the prairie dirt. This interlude between shows is part of Cavalia’s horse care and training philosophy, which is based on understanding the needs, preferences, and emotions of the animals, and on mutual respect, kindness, patience, and trust.
When they hit the stage in May, the 70 horses and 50 talented riders, trainers, acrobats, aerialists, stilt walkers dancers and musicians will be ready to deliver a performance that will make your heart race.
